Sri Lanka in Cricket World Cup
When the ICC Cricket World Cup was played for the first time, in England, Sri Lanka was one of the teams that had participated in it.
However, the team was out of the tournament after Round 1 only. Team Sri Lanka met with similar results in the next four ODI World Cups as well. However, with the fifth tournament, it won its lost glory, after defeating Australia in the final match. Till now, the feat is yet to be repeated by the team.
